レザーペンケース｜柿渋染め

上質な1枚革を真鍮のカシメで留めたシンプルなペンケース。小さなホッチキスやハサミも収容できる大きめサイズです。ヌメ革を日本古来の天然染料である柿渋で染めてから、革と柿渋に含まれるタンニンと鉄成分を反応させることで燻し銀のようなグレーに仕上げました。柿渋は古くから木や紙の防水や素材の保護などの目的で用いられてきました。革に用いることで、染色素材としてだけではなく銀面保護の役割も果たしています。

The minimal pen case is made from one sheet of leather hand-pressed with brass rivets. Large enough to carry a small stapler and scissors. Full grain vegetable-tanned leather is hand-dyed into brown, tan and navy.

Leather革素材

素材の革は、ヌメ革の中でも最も上質な革を使用し、蜜蝋とオイルを混ぜたオリジナルのワックスを丹念に浸透させています。初めはマット目の質感ですが、使用するにつれて徐々に光沢が増し、徐々に経年変化を楽しむことができます。

We use finest quality vegetable-tanned full grain leather made in Japan. Original beewax is additionally rubbed for the purpose of durability. Slightly matte texture will be gradually polished in your pocket and aged to shine.

Coloring染色

1枚革で仕入れたヌメ革はパーツごとに切り出し、拭き染めという技法を使って1点1点手染めで染色しています。均一的に染められた革とは違い、微妙な濃淡をお楽しみいただけます。

Each leather part is hand-dyed using cotton one by one to creates subtle gradation of color, which cannot be achieved by mechanically colored leather.

Brass真鍮

革と同じように経年変化を楽しんでいただけるよう、真鍮無垢素材の金具を使用しています。徐々にくすんだ風合いになり、味わいが増していくのが特徴です。シルバーのように、磨いてメンテナンスすることで、光沢を維持することも可能です。

We choose solid brass metal fittings so that you can enjoy the aging as well as leather. Gradually oxidized like silver as time passes. Can also be polished to keep shining.
